{"id":25,"date":"2010-07-18T20:15:45","date_gmt":"2010-07-18T20:15:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.scummvm.org\/sud03r\/?p=25"},"modified":"2022-05-23T20:16:14","modified_gmt":"2022-05-23T20:16:14","slug":"weekly-reports-week-7-8-testbed-usability-improvements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.scummvm.org\/sud03r\/2010\/07\/18\/weekly-reports-week-7-8-testbed-usability-improvements\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekly reports (Week 7-8): Testbed Usability Improvements"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry\">\n<p>Hi everyone.<\/p>\n<p>The midterm results were announced last week and I passed, yay!.<br \/>\nThanks to my mentors Eugene and Jordi for their valuable guidances and advices.<\/p>\n<p>Now, some updates on my last week work:, Last week I mostly happened to work on the GUI, however i had planned some more things but the gui thing took most of the time.<br \/>\nI started with implementing testsuite selection using checkboxes in the initial few days.<br \/>\nLater it happened that as the checkboxes are not dynamic, i.e they are not scrollable when the number of testsuites increases.<br \/>\nSo I needed to shift to some other widget, ListWidget was the closest choice.<br \/>\nThe selection and deselection was implemented using fading and darkening of text, and addition of some extra text.<br \/>\nThis consumed quite much time, as I needed to first figure out how the GUI dialogs work and then move with my work.<br \/>\nFinally, I shifted all the configuration related stuff to a class, TestbedConfigManager.<\/p>\n<p>I am now thinking of working on with testsuite skipping, progress bars on monday(tuesday) and then for a change move on to Sound Subsystems, so that all the basic testsuites are completed as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>I would be updating with more details on how I plan to take on Sound subsystem after I discuss it with my mentors.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014<br \/>\nNeeraj<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi everyone.
