{"id":12,"date":"2009-06-15T02:04:01","date_gmt":"2009-06-15T02:04:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.scummvm.org\/remere\/?p=12"},"modified":"2022-05-23T16:42:29","modified_gmt":"2022-05-23T16:42:29","slug":"cli-tools-converted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.scummvm.org\/remere\/2009\/06\/15\/cli-tools-converted\/","title":{"rendered":"CLI tools converted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since my last post, I\u2019ve gained SVN access and been busy working on converting all command line tools, although I had some slowdowns (partly due to last week being graduation week for many of my friends, and partly due to sneaking in some work on the GUI).\u00a0 But now the task is finally complete, with the possible exception of the mandatory bugs from such a large rewrite.<\/p>\n<p>I had some issues, both with my computer (the harddrive died half way through the week) and clumsiness on my part, as I missed a few files when commiting, and even lost one completely. Forcing an unfortunte hour or two spent doing the same work all over again. But it\u2019s all over now.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the tools also still lack thorough testing, something I will be doing in tandem with developing the GUI, as testing them will be much more durable with a nice front end.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re interested in the changes to the tools, it\u2019s most noticeable through looking at the README. \u00a0Just compare the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/scummvm.svn.sourceforge.net\/viewvc\/scummvm\/tools\/branches\/gsoc2009-gui\/README?revision=41370&amp;view=markup\">old<\/a>\u00a0with the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/scummvm.svn.sourceforge.net\/viewvc\/scummvm\/tools\/branches\/gsoc2009-gui\/README?revision=41457&amp;view=markup\">new<\/a>. \u00a0The change in the examples is quite appearant.
